Job summary

Glenwood Springs Volkswagen, part of the Sonic Automotive family, seeks talented sales professionals to join our team. You will sell vehicles and strive to meet dealership goals for gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction.

The position offers a pay structure with a monthly draw of $2,500 plus commission potential and production bonuses based on performance. We provide award-winning training, competitive benefits (medical, dental, vision, HSA, 401k, PTO), and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Valid in-state driver's license.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Sell vehicles while meeting dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction targets.
• Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.
• Demonstrate vehicles, including test drives.
• Deliver vehicles to customers and explain features, warranty, and paperwork.
• Establish income goals aligned with productivity and devise a plan to reach them.
• Report to Sales Manager on objectives and activities.
• Keep abreast of inventory and how features benefit customers.
• Work with service and body shop to ensure timely reconditioning.
• Attend sales meetings and training offered by the dealership and the manufacturer.
• Maintain a prospect development system and ownership follow-up system.
• Review actions daily/weekly/monthly to optimize time and plans.
• Understand automotive terminology and evolving product tech.
• Explain depreciation to customers and discuss values.
• Introduce customers to service department personnel.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents.
