Job summary

Buick GMC of Mahwah is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team in a fast-paced, on-site dealership setting. You will drive daily performance, structure profitable deals, and ensure top-tier customer satisfaction and operating execution.

The role requires five-plus years in automotive retail management with a proven Sales Manager track record. Expect evening/weekend hours and a competitive compensation package with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least five years of automotive retail management experience.
• Demonstrated success as an automotive Sales Manager.
• Buick, GMC, or GM dealership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the dealership's sales team.
• Conduct daily sales meetings, individual coaching sessions, and performance discussions.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable for results.
• Oversee the complete sales process from initial contact to delivery.
• Review and structure profitable, customer-focused deals.
• Monitor CRM activity, lead response, appointment-setting, follow-up, and closing performance.
• Partner with dealership leadership to achieve monthly sales volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Oversee inventory presentation, merchandising, and vehicle-aging strategies.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing sales professionals.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies and applicable federal and New Jersey automotive sales requirements.
