Job summary

Alcon is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Inspector to perform inspections using gauges and fixtures, ensuring compliance with standards and GMP requirements. The role involves handling materials, operating automated equipment, and conducting tool inspections, set-ups, and changeovers in a manufacturing environment.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Work hours: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM EST.
  • Location: Onsite.
  • Sponsorship & Relocation not available.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections using gauges and fixtures, and supervise quality statistically to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Follow work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Documentation Practice requirements.
  • Handle materials and operate automated equipment.
  • Resolve minor issues as they arise.
  • Conduct optical tool inspection, assembly, set-up, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, and changeover.
  • Follow Good Practice regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training.
  • Meet individual job requirements and uphold overall compliance.
  • Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
