Job summary

Alcon, a leader in eye care manufacturing, is hiring a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift onsite in Reading, PA. You will perform quality inspections, follow GMP/GDP guidelines, handle materials, and operate automated equipment to ensure product quality.

You will maintain accurate documentation, participate in continuous improvement, and collaborate with a skilled manufacturing team to meet regulatory standards while supporting on-time production and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• Work hours: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM EST.
• Location: Onsite.
• Sponsorship & Relocation not available.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections using gauges and fixtures, and supervise quality statistically to ensure compliance with standards.
• Follow work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Documentation Practice requirements.
• Handle materials and operate automated equipment.
• Resolve minor issues as they arise.
• Conduct optical tool inspection, assembly, set-up, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, and changeover.
• Follow Good Practice regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training.
• Meet individual job requirements and uphold overall compliance.
• Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
