Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking an entry‑level Salesperson to support the DIY business, with responsibilities including customer service, basic automotive knowledge, and parts sourcing. The role can be part‑time or full‑time and involves a mix of in‑store and delivery tasks to meet sales and service objectives.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of sales experience in retail, basic store systems knowledge, and the ability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Basic automotive knowledge and basic store systems knowledge.
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Fleet safety certification preferred.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
• Operate POS and Parts lookup systems.
• Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
