You will oversee the parts counter, inventory control, supplier relations, and collaborations with service advisors to minimize repair delays and maximize gross profit. This hands-on leadership role requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive parts management or department leadership preferred.
• Strong understanding of parts operations and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your team: train, coach, and support parts employees while setting clear expectations for accuracy, productivity, and customer service.
• Oversee the parts counter, ordering, receiving, stocking, deliveries, and special-order follow‑up.
• Balance inventory availability with investment; manage obsolete and aging stock; oversee returns.
• Conduct regular counts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain reliable records.
• Work closely with service technicians and advisors to get the right parts where needed and minimize delays.
• Build relationships with retail and wholesale customers through knowledgeable assistance and timely follow‑through.
• Review sales, gross profit, expenses, and inventory performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage warranty parts retention, manufacturer returns, and GM parts procedures.
