Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Milwaukee seeks a General Manager who will inspire the team, grow our DIY and Professional customer base, and uphold store integrity and service standards. You will hire and develop Team Members, manage inventory and controls, lead on-duty responsibilities, and drive sales against financial goals while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This exempt role requires 50–55 hours per week with rotating nights and weekends; ASE certification is a plus; a high school

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing a team in retail
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to analyze store metrics and drive profitable growth

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales
• Hire, develop, coach, schedule and engage store team members
• Ensure inventory accuracy and adherence to operational standards
• Lead on-duty responsibilities and safety compliance
• Execute change management and drive a respectful work environment
• Provide DIY services (battery install, wiper install) as needed
• Support district/region in other functions upon request
