Job summary

Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Maryland seeks an experienced Parts Counter Representative to join our team. You will assist retail and shop customers in selecting parts, explain recommendations, and manage part requests with accuracy and speed.

The ideal candidate has automotive parts counter experience, a valid driver's license, and a track record of delivering excellent customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts counter experience is required and a clean, valid driver's license.
• Occasional parts driving is required.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and expose full product line.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and information.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order.
• Notify the service advisor and customer when special ordered parts have been received.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts.
• Keep records of repair orders, invoices, estimates, and special order parts.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up.
• Verify will-call and back order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stock those items not picked up or required.
