Job summary

Matson Logistics is seeking a dedicated role in Honolulu to assist auto and conventional customers with vehicle availability, booking, delivery, and receipt. The position also supports Neighbor Island ports, handling vessel queries and paperwork.

The role involves database upkeep for container and auto operations, tracking vehicles across east/west bound routes, and coordinating office logistics. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists customers, consignees, and truckers in person or with telephone calls regarding availability, booking, delivery, and receipt of vehicles. Answers queries regarding vessel arrivals and departures.
• Compiles and maintains files for west bound and east bound vessels. For east bound vessels, audits, sorts and distributes dock receipts, auto survey sheets, etc.
• Maintain Matson database operating system to ensure accuracy related to container and auto operations, stuff and un-stuff, shipping for east bound and Neighbor Island ports.
• Assists in all phases of tracking and locating east bound, west bound and Neighbor Island vehicles.
• Distributes inter-office mail and monitors facsimile machines. Maintains requisition files, orders office supplies and forms to ensure proper inventory levels.
• Audit transfer from and to P32.

About The Role

Assists Matson auto and conventional customers with the availability, booking, delivery, and receipt of vehicles. In addition, assist Neighbor Island ports and P32 port in the same manner.

What you’ll do:

• Greets and assists customers, consignees, and truckers in person or with telephone calls regarding availability, booking, delivery, and receipt of vehicles. Answers queries regarding vessel arrivals and departures.

• Able to work overtime and weekends.

• MTI CFS, CY, CVS, F&M supervisors, and office staff, CFS warehousepersons, MNC freight operations, Neighbor Island Ports, Customer Service and Honolulu Terminal clerks.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Customers, consignees, contract agents, and government agency personnel.
