• Optional qualifications include OEM technical school certifications, military training degrees, or college diplomas.
• Experience and Education: Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience as an automotive mechanic, which can include time at a trade school for entry-level mechanics.
• Applicants must also possess a high school diploma, valid driver’s license(s), and computer skills for data entry into the fleet maintenance database. Welding experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• All workers must acquire and maintain appropriate licenses to work on Verizon equipment, available upon request as required by law.

• Onboarding Requirements: All workers must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check as part of background screening, with annual updates. Verizon may conduct random drug tests during the assignment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift between 50-75 pounds, and a minimum of 35 pounds overhead. Some equipment used or repaired may have a maximum weight limit of 275 pounds.
