Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, seeks an Automotive Technician II to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and inspections across a variety of vehicles. Day shift, full-time roles with a $1,500 tool bonus for new hires. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits package.

Required high school diploma or GED with experience or related certification, valid driver's license, and ability to handle various vehicle systems. ASE certification preferred. EO, including disability/vets.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to drive multiple vehicle types.
• Strong diagnostic, repair and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and repairs across a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and drivability issues including brakes, tires and suspension.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics on starting/charging, AC, OBDII and electrical systems.
• Complete detailed inspections and document deficiencies across vehicle components.
• Ensure safety and environmental standards are met in all tasks.
• Assist with upfitting new vehicles and source parts through approved vendors.
• Support OEM recall work as required.

We're hiring an Automotive Technician II to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and inspections across a variety of vehicles.

Work Schedule: Day shift, full-time

What You'll Do

• Performe highly skilled maintenance and repairs across a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and drivability issues, including brakes, tires, suspension and related components.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and repairs across key systems, including starting and charging, AC, OBDII and electrical systems.
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections, including required measurements, and document any deficiencies across interior, exterior, engine and driveline components.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, including proper handling of recyclables, fluids, tires and waste.
• Assist with upfitting new vehicles with required equipment.
• Source and manage parts through approved vendors.
• Support additional service needs, including OEM recall work as required.

Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED with 3 years of related work experience; or any degree or certification above a high school diploma/GED with one year of related work experience; or 5 years of related work experience without a degree.
• A valid driver's license with a safe driving record
• The ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles

Preferred Qualifications

• Current ASE Certification: G1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8

SMCOX

USD 24.23 - 36.35 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $24.23 - $36.35/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
