Job summary

At Cox Automotive, we seek an Auto Maintenance Tech I to perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. This day-shift role requires hands-on work and a passion for cars, with a sign-on bonus and competitive hourly pay.

You’ll gain skills in maintenance concepts, oil changes, battery testing, brake/steering repairs, AC service, and more as part of a supportive team at a Cox location. Benefits begin from day one and include extensive PTO and healthcare options.

Responsibilities

• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.
• Perform auto maintenance duties: oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flush, spark plugs and vehicle inspections.
• Test, maintain and replace batteries; test and repair starting and charging electrical systems.
• Perform repairs including tires, safety inspections and interior/exterior components.
• Diagnose and repair brake, steering and suspension systems.
• Evacuate and recharge the AC system.
• Perform maintenance on equipment; use approved vendors for parts.
• May upfit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
• Comply with procedures and regulations regarding recycling, fluids, tires, and waste.
