Responsibilities

• Initial contact with insured and claimants to determine coverage and liability exposure.
• Determine injuries involved and develop exposure, handling first call settlement injury claims and minor injury claims.
• Control expenses and maintain proper reserves on pending claims/potential exposures.
• Meet and maintain file handling goals, 1:1 closing ratio, and diary status.
• Utilize underwriting and policy systems and understand features as needed.
• Attend seminars and classes to meet job duties and responsibilities.
• Develop skills to better investigate and evaluate claims.
