Drive Tech ADAS in the Lufkin area is seeking an experienced Auto Glass Technician to perform windshield and glass replacements for a variety of vehicles. This role involves traveling to customer sites for mobile installations and ensuring proper bonding, surface prep, and AGSSC/AGRSS compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on windshield replacement experience, a valid license, and strong attention to detail.

Drive Tech ADAS is looking for an experienced Auto Glass Technician to join our growing team in the Lufkin area.

We specialize in advanced automotive diagnostics, ADAS calibrations, and automotive glass services. We work with collision repair centers and automotive businesses to deliver professional, reliable service on today's increasingly sophisticated vehicles.

We're looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well independently, and understands that replacing a windshield is about more than installing glass — it's about protecting the safety of the vehicle and its occupants.

What You'll Do:

• Perform professional windshield and automotive glass replacements on a variety of makes and models.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the area to complete mobile installations.
• Remove and install windshields, side windows, back glass, moldings, trim and related components.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and applicable Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS) requirements.
• Properly prepare bonding surfaces, apply primers and adhesives, and observe required safe-drive-away times.
• Inspect vehicles before and after service, documenting existing damage and completed work.
• Identify vehicles requiring ADAS calibration and coordinate with our calibration technicians.
• Properly handle vehicles equipped with rain sensors, cameras, heating elements and other advanced features.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, materials and service vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with customers, collision centers, dispatch and office personnel.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of professional automotive glass installation experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Hands-on experience replacing windshields and other automotive glass.
• Knowledge of proper automotive glass removal, preparation, bonding and installation procedures.
• Ability to identify installation issues and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements.
• Ability to safely handle automotive glass and perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability and professional communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mobile service environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of automotive glass replacement experience.
• Previous mobile auto glass installation experience.
• Experience working with collision repair facilities.
• Familiarity with ADAS-equipped vehicles and windshield calibration requirements.
• Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) certification or equivalent industry training.
• Experience with modern glass removal systems, setting tools and urethane adhesive systems.
• ADAS calibration experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation:

$25–$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
