Job summary

Drive Tech ADAS in Austin is seeking an experienced Auto Glass Technician to join our mobile team. You will replace windshields and other automotive glass across a variety of makes and models, traveling to customer locations throughout the Greater Austin area.

The role requires attention to detail, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. ADAS awareness and professional communication are valued as you support calibration technicians and service

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional automotive glass installation experience; ability to work independently.
• Hands-on experience replacing windshields and other automotive glass.
• Knowledge of removal, preparation, bonding and installation procedures.
• Ability to identify installation issues and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements.
• Ability to safely handle automotive glass and perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability and professional communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mobile service environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional windshield and automotive glass replacements on a variety of makes and models.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the Greater Austin area to complete mobile installations.
• Remove and install windshields, side windows, back glass, moldings, trim and related components.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and applicable AGRSS requirements.
• Properly prepare bonding surfaces, apply primers and adhesives, and observe safe-drive-away times.
• Inspect vehicles before and after service, documenting existing damage and completed work.
• Identify vehicles requiring ADAS calibration and coordinate with calibration technicians.
• Properly handle vehicles equipped with rain sensors, cameras, heating elements and other advanced features.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, materials and service vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with customers, collision centers, dispatch and office personnel.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Hands‑on experience replacing windshields and other automotive glass.
• Knowledge of proper automotive glass removal, preparation, bonding and installation procedures.
• Ability to identify installation issues and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements.
• Ability to safely handle automotive glass and perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability and professional communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, mobile service environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of automotive glass replacement experience.
• Previous mobile auto glass installation experience.
• Experience working with collision repair facilities.
• Familiarity with ADAS-equipped vehicles and windshield calibration requirements.
• Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) certification or equivalent industry training.
• Experience with modern glass removal systems, setting tools and urethane adhesive systems.
• ADAS calibration experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation:

$25–$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
