Job summary

Safelite is seeking a Technician Trainee in New Jersey to be trained to perform auto glass repair, replacement and recalibrations. Upon completion, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and gain fundamentals for unsupervised work, with a customer‑focused mindset.

You will learn through hands-on and classroom training, earning competitive pay and advancing toward Senior/Master Technician levels based on performance, quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma GED/Equivalent preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
• Provide additional services and products.
• Study and pass testing to become Safelite-certified Technician.
• Safely operate company vehicles, tools and chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
