Job summary

Safelite Group in the United States seeks a Technician Trainee to begin training toward becoming a certified auto glass technician. You will learn through hands-on and classroom training, progressing toward Safelite SafeTech certification and performing glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Compensation starts with weekly pay at $22.25/hour, rising to $26.50/hour after training and certification, plus benefits including a 401(k) match,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required to operate company vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and use hand/power tools safely.
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations.

Responsibilities

• Be paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way through hands-on training.
• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostics.
• Provide additional services and products.
• Study and pass testing to become Safelite-certified Technician.
• Safely operate company vehicles and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
