Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Service Technician for Stanley Access Technologies in Elgin, IL. You will service and maintain automatic door operating equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and keep detailed service records for each customer.

The role requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, clean driving record, and the ability to Lift 50–75 lbs. Flexible schedule with nights/weekends/on-call is expected; a $3,000 bonus is offered upon AAADM certification completion.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License.
• Frequently going up and down ladders and standing on concrete for long periods.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and to work nights/weekends/on-call.

Responsibilities

• Service and perform preventive maintenance on Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and related systems.
• Record productive time and travel time accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date records of work performed and parts used.
• Stay current with changes to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards.
• Keep manuals and details current with published changes.
• Maintain company vehicles and tools in good condition.
• Maintain inventory for service vehicles and logs for parts.
• Foster good customer relations and assist with install/service methods.
