Jenkins Ford / Lincoln of Crystal River is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic (ASE Certified a plus!) to join our growing team.

We will be selecting a few candidates for telephone and/or in-person interviews.
REQUIRES: Clean driving record and ability to pass drug test and background checks. Compensation: depends on experience - full-time plus benefits.

SUMMARY:
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager. In addition, this person may also be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer.
The ideal Auto Diesel Mechanic has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, a minimum of one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, post-secondary automotive training, is ASE certified (or is willing to obtain certification), and has a strong technical performance record.

  • Expertly diagnose issues based upon experience, analysis, and testing
  • Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
  • Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
  • Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components
  • Repair automobiles and light trucks that run on gasoline, electricity, or alternative fuels, such as ethanol
  • Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Visual Accommodation: Adjustment of lens of eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This factor is required when doing near point work at varying distances from the eye
Color Vision: Ability to identify and distinguish colors
Field of Vision: Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point
