Job summary

GAINSCO is seeking an Auto Damage Appraiser to join our claims team in Macon, GA. This role requires a minimum of 5 years writing auto damage appraisals and experience with estimating software; CCC ONE is a plus.

Candidates must be willing to travel up to 95% of the time within the territory and be fluent in English; Spanish is a plus. You will inspect vehicles, prepare accurate appraisals, negotiate with shops, and manage the repair process from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience writing auto damage appraisals.
• Proven ability to write accurate appraisals across loss types and severities.
• Experience with appraisal software estimating systems; CCC ONE a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and travel to sites within territory.
• Inspect and appraise damaged vehicles per guidelines and repair methods.
• Negotiate repair estimates with shops and manage repair process.
• Determine repairability or total loss status and complete salvage value evaluations.
• Maintain accurate files and communicate with Claims Department.
