Universal Shield Insurance Group seeks an Auto Garage Claims Specialist in Central Scottsdale. The role combines claims handling with coverage investigations and litigation coordination within a hybrid property and casualty environment.

You will adjust auto and casualty claims, determine coverage, assign defense counsel for litigated matters, and pursue recoveries. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree and valid licenses.
• 5–10 years of auto and casualty claims experience; litigation management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, exclusions, and endorsements.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a load of litigated and non-litigated claims.
• Investigate and verify coverage; determine coverage decisions.
• Adjust claims per policies, laws, and procedures; coordinate with independent adjusters as needed.
• Select defense counsel for litigated claims and oversee strategy.
• Prepare claim recommendations for upper management.
• Identify sources of recovery and subrogation.
• Attend mediations, arbitrations, or trials when appropriate.
• Collaborate with SIU to protect against false or inflated claims.
• Maintain accurate, timely claim documentation and status updates.
