Warrior Insurance Network seeks a Property Damage Supervisor to oversee the Property Damage Coverage Unit in Illinois, ensuring adherence to state guidelines and accurate investigations of claims. You will supervise staff, monitor productivity, and uphold quality control across files.

Qualifications

• 5+ years auto liability claims experience.
• Team Lead or Auto Claims Leadership experience preferred.
• Strong technical and administrative background in auto claims handling.
• Ability to work independently on technical and administrative matters in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Background in personnel selection, goal setting, monitoring and communicating performance.
• Good leadership, training and development skills.

• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Determine training needs of the department/unit and participate in programs to ensure training of personnel and processes.
• Identify systems issues and suggest enhancements.
• Manage administrative functions of the unit including reviewing, directing, and assigning new losses.

Position Description

The Property Damage Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the overall productivity and personnel of the Property Damage Coverage Unit. Scope of the position includes ensuring compliance with State mandated claims handling guidelines, understanding of policy language and coverages, as well as assuring proper investigation and conclusions of claims. Position also includes, monitoring production, staff development and the quality of files assigned to the Unit.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and provide direction to the unit adjusters
• Conduct file and diary reviews for the purpose of monitoring adjuster's work and to assure appropriate documentation is available, fair claim settlement practices are followed, and company quality standards are maintained
• Place appropriate authority level on claim files based upon determination of coverage, investigation of facts and approve settlement checks within authority
• Review reports and support the implementation of procedures which improve overall claim settlement process, customer service levels, and ensure that desired quality and quantity levels are maintained
• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of procedures to assure effectiveness and compliance
• Determine training needs of the department / unit, establish and participate in programs to ensure training needs of personnel and processes
• Identify Systems issues / concerns and make suggestions for enhancements
• Manage the administrative functions of the unit which include:

• Review, provide direction and assign new losses
• Setting performance objectives and monitoring performance results
• Conduct performance appraisals
• Daily review of files for payment approvals over adjuster authority and the transfer of files to appropriate areas (SIU, Litigation, Total Loss, Subrogation, etc.)
• Conduct unit meetings
• Review and respond to Department of Insurance inquiries
• Review and direct claim activity on customer inquiries
• Assure all compliance and customer service regulations / initiatives are met
• Seeking local candidates to work in either our Bedford Park location, approximately one mile south of Chicago Midway Airport, or our Oak Brook location.

Qualifications Required

• 5+ years auto liability claims experience
• Team Lead or Auto Claims Leadership experience preferred
• Strong technical and administrative background in auto claims handling
• Ability to work independently on technical and administrative matters in accordance with company policy and procedures
• Background in personnel selection, goal setting, monitoring and communicating performance
• Good leadership, training and development skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed claim adjuster / supervisor
• Prior Non-Standard Auto Claims experience a plus, not required
• On-Site position in Bedford Park, IL.

Estimated Compensation Range: $48,750/year-$93,750/year*
