Job summary

National General is seeking an Auto Claims Appraiser to join our Washington team, preferably based in Olympia, Tacoma, or nearby. You will perform on-site estimates and vehicle appraisals, collaborating with repair facilities and customers to ensure accurate, fair settlements.

The role emphasizes mastery of auto estimating and claims processes, with opportunities to mentor peers and support our territory through accurate evaluations and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating auto damage claims.
• Assist leadership in training and interpretation of policy types.
• Mastery of estimating fundamentals for 1st and 3rd party material damage.

Responsibilities

• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types and assists leadership in training.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in complex files.
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Builds mastered relationships with internal and external customers.
• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party losses.
