Your Role :

As an Associate Auto Claims Advisor, your responsibilities include handling non-injury claims. You will verify and explain coverages, conduct liability investigations, and advise customers of your liability decisions. You will set expectations about the claims process, obtain police reports and witness statements, reach out to other adjusters, and keep the member informed of the claim status.

Responsibilities include:

1. Investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling auto and property damage claims.
2. Managing a diary system to review and resolve claims within state guidelines.
3. Managing an inventory of claims.
4. Opening claims and gathering required information from involved parties.
5. Explaining policies, coverage, and recommended actions.
6. Documenting files, sending correspondence, and communicating with customers and repair facilities.
7. Ensuring compliance with regulations, policy provisions, and procedures.
8. Arranging and handling repairs, rentals, towing, and negotiations for total losses.
9. Applying knowledge of estimating standards for claims of varying complexity.
10. Participating in a 14-week virtual training program, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PT, starting 08/12/2024.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED or 2+ years in a customer-facing virtual environment.
• Ability to work remotely and meet work-from-home requirements.
• Adjusters license may be required by state.

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in Property and Casualty insurance is preferred.
• Flexible to work any shift between 5:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. PST, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal and computer navigation skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong communication skills and respect for diversity.
• Participation in company culture activities and willingness to travel as needed.
