Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle, restoring it to pre-accident condition.

The role involves disassembly, repair, reassembly, and collaboration with the team to meet KPIs, uphold brand standards, and act as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld and fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect final results.
