Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Tyler, TX is seeking an Auto Body Technician with 4-5 years of collision repair experience to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will closely follow the WOW plan, plan repairs, and prepare estimates while using cutting tools, welders, and paint equipment.

Responsibilities include dent repair, frame realignment, parts replacement, and ensuring quality, speed, and customer satisfaction. OSHA safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal auto body training obtainable via technical school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience in auto body repair processes and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; weld and fit parts; repaint to specs.
• Inspect completed work and ensure it meets KPIs and safety standards.
