Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble bodies, align chassis, and restore finishes while upholding our standards of speed, quality and customer care.

You will work with the WOW plan, read work orders, estimate costs, and collaborate with other technicians to meet KPIs. A high school diploma or equivalent plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses cutting tools such as cutting guns and plasma cutters to repair sections.
• Realigns chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replaces or repairs glass and interior parts as needed.
• Welds, fits parts, and preps/repaints vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspects vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
