Responsibilities

1. Examines damaged vehicles and efficiently plans the repair process.
2. Communicates with team members regarding vehicle repair status.
3. Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time completion.
4. Decides on repair versus replacement considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
5. Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window equipment, and trim to access vehicles and fenders.
6. Participates in all required safety meetings.
7. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
8. Supervises and directs apprentice work when needed, explaining procedures and addressing unusual problems.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must pass a thorough background check.
