Job summary

T-Body Collision in Illinois is seeking an Auto Body Technician to repair damaged vehicle body parts in line with company standards and time targets. You will be skilled in analyzing, assessing and fixing vehicles, including repairing, replacing and refinishing outer body parts.

This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, collaborating with teammates to deliver quality results on schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in collision repair.
• Knowledge of vehicle structure to remove/replace components.
• Demonstration of safety precautions in performing the work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally more than 70 lbs.
• Agility, balance, and coordination for working in tight spaces and at heights.
• Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Repairs vehicles per estimate and standards, prepares vehicles for body repair, restores bodywork to original condition.
• Notifies management of any additional repairs or schedule changes.
• Maintains tools/equipment and keeps work area clean and safe.
• Wears all required safety PPE.
• Cooperates with other team members in repair and prepping of vehicles.
• Complies with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations.
