Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Chattanooga to expertly assess and repair vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, fix, and reassemble vehicles while ensuring speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will work with the team to meet KPIs, maintain safety standards, and deliver high‑quality repairs. Strong technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship is preferred; HS diploma required. Roles may adapt with business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Able to work with other repairers in a shop setting.
• Strong understanding of methods to repair vehicle bodies.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to correct structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass if needed.
• Weld and fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specs or approved equivalents.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor time guidelines and inspect for quality.
