Gerber Collision & Glass in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous repair work that restores vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, align chassis, replace parts, and ensure safety and quality.

This role requires reading job orders, collaborating with teammates, and using a wide range of tools in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform vehicle body repairs per cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged parts and glass as needed.
• Weld, paint, and finish vehicles per specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect completed work for quality and safety.
• Collaborate with team to meet KPIs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
