Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Sanford, ME to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition with precision and speed. You’ll disassemble, repair, reassemble, and repaint using a range of tools, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

You’ll plan repair work, prepare estimates, and collaborate with team members to meet KPIs while maintaining a safe work environment. The role emphasizes hands-on training and career growth within a leading collision repair company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Completion of a technical program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and perform repairs with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers for repairs.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint to factory specifications or equivalents.
• Inspect completed work and ensure it meets job KPIs and quality standards.
• Contribute to a safe, productive shop environment and follow duties as assigned.
