Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a qualified auto body technician to examine damaged vehicles, plan repairs, and communicate status with the team to keep on-time delivery. You will perform quality repairs, decide on repair vs.

replacement based on safety, cost and cycle time, and assist with accessing components by removing upholstery and trim. Ideal candidates have frame machine experience, body repair certification (preferred), knowledge of manufacturer repair processes, I-CAR welding certification,

Qualifications

• Experience with frame machines and auto body repairs.
• Certification in body repair is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Ability to analyze measuring data for repairs.
• Capability to supervise repair personnel.
• Willingness to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.
• Works with others to communicate repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, electrical and trim to access areas.
• Participates in all required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power/hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice and explains procedures.
