Job summary

The Boyd Group in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver expert vehicle repairs and restore cars to pre-accident condition. You will assess damage, plan the repair, and disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles with a focus on speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will work with the team to meet KPIs, follow the WOW operating plan, and ensure safety while handling tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of auto body repair methods and safe tool use.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld and paint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
