Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in South Carolina to expertly repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, working with a team to meet KPIs while upholding the brand promise of speed and quality.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and may have completed a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Solid understanding of body repair techniques and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Examines and disassembles vehicles to repair back to pre-accident condition.
• Plans repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections.
• Realigns chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replaces damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repairs glass/interiors as needed.
• Welds and refits parts and applies factory-specified paints or equivalents.
