Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an experienced collision repair technician to join our Schertz repair center. You will disassemble, assess, and repair vehicle damage, using welding, SMC, and finishing techniques to bring vehicles to industry standards.

You will work with a supportive team, follow safety guidelines, and participate in a structured process from inspection to test drive. A valid driver's license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist collision estimators in assessing damage and prepare a 100% repair plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedure following work orders for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access damaged areas.
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding parts; reassemble after painting.
• Operate hand and power tools such as welders, soldering equipment, cutting torches, hammers and sanders.
• File, grind and sand repaired surfaces before painting.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned; comply with SOPs and safety guidelines.
