Job summary

Crash Champions in Michigan is seeking an experienced collision repair technician to examine damaged vehicles and plan efficient repair processes. You will work with a team to communicate repair status and perform high‑quality repairs, deciding when to repair or replace components based on safety and cost considerations.

You may remove upholstery and other components to access areas, participate in safety meetings, and guide an apprentice.

Qualifications

• Ability to use frame machine.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification is preferred.
• Experience supervising repair personnel.
• Must pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates with teammates on repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decides repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access areas.
• Participates in required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces.
• Directs the work of an apprentice and explains procedures.
