Job summary

Classic Collision Inc. is seeking an Automotive Body Technician to perform disassembly, repair planning, and bodywork to restore vehicles to factory specs. You will collaborate with estimators and paint staff to ensure accurate repairs and timely completion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2–3 years collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist collision estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% repair plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedures by following the work order for all listed operations.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to access damaged areas; store parts to prevent damage.
• Mend damaged body parts by hammering, filling dents, welding, and reassembling after painting; ensure gaps and fits meet standards.
• Operate various hand and power tools (welder, soldering, torch, hammers, wrenches, sanders, spray guns).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before handing vehicle to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
