Job summary

Classic Collision is hiring an Auto Body Technician in Georgia. The role involves disassembly, repairing dents, welding, and ensuring high quality finishes across repair procedures. You will work with hand and power tools to prep panels, follow work orders, and verify safety standards after test drives.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of collision repair experience, 18+ years old, and a valid driver's license. I-CAR/ASE certifications are preferred, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2–3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist collision estimators in assessing damage and planning repairs.
• Identify needed repairs to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedures following the work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery and accessories to access damaged areas; store parts safely.
• Mend damaged body by hammering, filling dents and welding; ensure gaps and fits meet standards.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sanders, spray guns).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Repair or replace defective parts; test drive to ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned; comply with SOPs and safety guidelines.
