Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, realign chassis, replace parts, and ensure quality and speed in all tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; weld and fit parts.
• Prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect final work.
