Job summary

The Boyd Group in Longview, TX is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide precise repairs and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will assess damage, disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while upholding speed, quality, and customer excellence.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, using body shop tools, inspecting work, and ensuring safety. A high school diploma or apprenticeship is required; training is offered on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair methods and proper use of body shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass as needed.
• Weld and fit components; repaint vehicles with factory or equivalent finishes.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
