Job summary

Boyd Group Services in Gardendale, AL is seeking an Auto Body Technician to meticulously assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassembling and reassembling parts while supporting speed, quality and customer excellence. You will work with a team to meet KPIs, using tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers.

Compensation is $23-$32 per hour with flat-rate pay and potential bonuses; safety and quality are emphasized, and ongoing opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates using tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage as feasible; applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass and interior parts.
• Welds and fits parts, and preps and repaints vehicles to spec.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects vehicles after repair.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
