Qualifications

• Certification or demonstrated ability to operate a frame machine.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification or equivalent experience.

• Experience supervising repair personnel when needed.
• Must pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Decides on repair vs. replacement based on safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery and related components to access areas.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with tools.
• Directs an apprentice in tasks and explains procedures.
