Job summary

Motocruit is seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician in Greenfield, IN to repair and restore vehicles with structural damage. The role covers frame rebuilding, frame and suspension alignment, and replacement of panels using MIG/TIG welding and other specialized tools.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of auto body experience, reads repair orders accurately, and demonstrates attention to detail. Certification is preferred; familiarity with Car-O-Liner, Chief, Genesis, or Celette is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of auto body repair experience with emphasis on structural repairs.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and use of specialized tools and equipment.
• Experience in frame and suspension alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders and technical manuals.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Certification(s) such as ASE Structural Technician or I-CAR Gold Class preferred.
• Experience utilizing Car-O-Liner, Chief, Genesis, or Celette highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess structural damage and determine repair scope.
• Disassemble damaged vehicles to assess extent of damage.
• Repair and rebuild vehicle frames to factory specs.
• Align frames and suspension systems for proper handling and safety.
• Replace damaged body panels and parts with new or used options.
• Use MIG, TIG, and resistance welding techniques.
• Employ computerized measuring systems to ensure precise alignment.
• Communicate repair needs and timelines with team and customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and follow safety guidelines.
• Stay updated with automotive technology and repair techniques.
