Job summary

Required certifications include a body repair certification and I-CAR welding certification is preferred. You will lead apprentices when needed and participate in safety meetings while upholding manufacturer repair processes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use a frame machine.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification preferred.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicles and plan the repair process efficiently.
• Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status.
• Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decide whether to repair or replace, considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic equipment and trim to access vehicles.
• Participate in all required safety meetings.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Direct the work of an apprentice when needed and explain procedures.
