Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with speed and quality. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble bodies, align frames, replace parts, and prepare painted finishes.

You will work with a team to meet KPIs, read job orders, estimate costs, and ensure safe operations in a busy shop. A high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or an apprenticeship are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a technical training program or apprenticeship.
• Experience reading job orders and working with a team in a shop environment.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to lift up to 30 pounds and operate in a noisy, odor-filled shop.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realigns chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replaces damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repairs glass/windshields.
• Prepares and repaints vehicles with factory finishes or equivalents.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects vehicles after repair.
