Job summary

The Boyd Group’s Auto Body Technician role focuses on meticulous repair of vehicles to pre-accident condition, with an emphasis on speed, quality and customer excellence. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring adherence to our WOW operating standards and KPIs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus formal auto body training or a 3-year apprenticeship. Tools like cutting guns and welders are used daily in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers. Uses tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; replace glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and attach parts; prepare and repaint vehicles according to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
