Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Wisconsin is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, aligning with our speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

You will plan repairs, prepare estimates for customers, use a variety of tools, and ensure work meets labor guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of auto body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently across repairs.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer estimates.
• Use cutting tools, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins where needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, windshields, and interior parts.
• Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to verify quality.
