Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking a skilled Body Repair Technician to examine damaged vehicles, plan repairs, and perform high‑quality repairs to ensure on‑time completion. The role requires knowledge of frame machines and manufacturer repair processes, with I‑CAR welding certification preferred.

You will supervise apprentices, collaborate with teammates, and participate in safety meetings while following company standards and a competitive compensation structure.

Qualifications

• Certification in body repair is preferred.
• I-CAR welding certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel and direct an apprentice as needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicles and plan the repair process.
• Coordinate communication on vehicle repair status with teammates.
• Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decide on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Assist in disassembling and accessing areas of the vehicle as needed.
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain shop standards.
• Prepare repaired surfaces using appropriate tools and sanding techniques.
• Direct the work of apprentices and explain procedures as needed.
