Cox Automotive is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II to ensure all auto body and paint repairs meet company, OEM, and customer quality standards before vehicle delivery. The role requires detailed inspections throughout the repair process and close collaboration with technicians and leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• High School or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years experience in auto body or reconditioning or as a quality control inspector preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Must be detail-oriented.

Aufgaben

• Conduct final quality inspections on all completed body and paint repairs prior to vehicle delivery.
• Verify all repairs meet company quality standards, OEM specifications, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
• Inspect body repairs for proper panel alignment, fit and finish, and overall workmanship.
• Evaluate paint work for color match, texture consistency, gloss level, dirt inclusions, runs, sags, overspray, and other paint defects.
• Document inspection findings and communicate to technicians and shop leadership.
• Maintain accurate quality control records and inspection reports.
• Collaborate with technicians and management to resolve quality issues efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework and improve first-time quality.
• Participate quality review walks to ensure consistent standards across all repairs.
• Report trends related to workmanship, materials, equipment, or process deficiencies that may impact quality or customer satisfaction.
